It is a granite bridge with aqueduct to which is associated the shale that is on the platform. The aqueduct is still in operation for the passage of water intended for irrigation. The bridge has three arches and was restored in the first half of the XIX century. It suffered an intervention and was requalified by the Municipality of Valongo in 1996.
