Visiting the Tongobriga small village means to make a journey to the past. It is located in the parish of Freixo in the county of Marco de Canaveses. The archeological remains of an ancient roman citadel are the symbol of the village. It was classified National Monument by the IPPAR.The Freixo Archeological Station represented an important center of decision in the late 1st and early 2nd centuries. In an area of 50 hectars, we can see the spa remais, the forum, the housing and the necropolis.
