Bilhó Waterfalls

Mondim de Basto
Description
The river "Cabrão" is a mountain river which rises a little above the village of Bobal, on the plateau of Gevancas.

Throughout its small but rugged route of 10.500 km, it offers multiple attractive and pleasant places for swimming and other outdoor activities such as canyoning. Already after Bilhó on the way from Alvão Natural Park, crashes into a lush mountain rock known as the Bilhó waterfalls.

One of the most beautiful views of the river can be seen near the village of Pioledo where small natural pools and the old mills stand in a unique and pristine environment harshness.

It meets the Cabril river in place of the "Mestras" in a gaudy freshness frame.
