Opened in 2013, the Interpretive Centre of Faia was born in the former Primary School as a tribute space to the inhabitants of the locality, submerged in 1964 by the construction of the Vilar Dam. Place of study and visit, the Interpretation Centre of Aldeia da Faia still has museum functions, where are the assets collected over the years and witnesses the relationship of the two villages: the Faia before and after the dam construction, with photographic motifs, reports and news, as well as tinwork of Antonio Caiado.
