The Maia Welcome Center is an information point whose aim is principally to help tourists visiting Maia.
It was built in the Parque Central da Maia, based on a project by Architect Alfredo Ascensão. It is a multipurpose space that includes a tourist information desk, an exhibition gallery, a multimedia kiosk, a café, a municipal bookshop and a shop selling local handicrafts and products.
