Regarded as Álvaro Siza´s masterpiece, the pool was inaugurated in 1966, and classified as a “National Monument” 40 years later. Built within the forms that Nature has produced, it is considered a perfect copy example of harmonization, conception of a dynamic space on landscape, thus providing a good alternative to the open sea.
