Romanesque bridge of Mondim da Beira

Tarouca
Description
Built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, of Romanesque and Gothic civil public architecture, the bridge of Mondim da Beira, with two bows of unequal  size and extension, being the smaller on the right bank, a pointed arch and the largest slightly pointed, has the  passing board on uneven plans, reaching its highest point in the threading of the larger arc of closure, with slightly pronounced dihedral. It has starlings and guards on the walkway.

The bridge is based between the two arches in rocky outcrops in the middle of the river and is located in the medieval road that linked Mondim da Beira to São João de Tarouca.

The Tarouca Municipality invites you to discover the Varosa Valley.
