The Environmental Park has as its objective the valorisation and preservation of natural spaces, the development of a more conscious attitude to the impact of human activities on the environment and biodiversity. The Interpretation Centre has a small museum where are represented the species of animals existing in the park, an auditorium, whose main purpose is to disclose, inform and promote awareness and environmental education that allows the visitors to receive information about the existing biodiversity in the park, through a technological system with interactive panel multiprojection through gestural recognition which is ensured by several interfaces (movement, gesture or touch).
The Ribeira de Pena Ecomuseum offers within its reservation direct contact with indigenous species of flora and fauna, allowing better understand their peculiarities and their importance in the ecosystem, as well as contact with the beauty of the ribeirapenenses landscapes.
