This was the place where, until the appearance of running water, the population of the Village is coming fueling. For this fact, it was a meeting place and disseminating news.
The architectural features are indicative of its importance and antiquity. It is a source of diving with three spouts with gargoyles in fountains, where the most outstanding element is the shield and the crown royal, characteristic of the year 1500. It is a power dive, which means, to draw water, you can soak the jar in the rectangular tank that the three spouts in gargoyles fill. In the book "Medicinal Aquilégio" of 1726, the first inventory of Portuguese mineral water, the water of the source is considered a tasty water and with diuretic powers.
