It is one of the largest and most spectacular winepresses dug in the rock of the Valpaços municipality, an outstanding work and, possibly, the one of higher capacity. It is a grain-medium equigranular granite winepress, with muscovite, biotite and light colour due to the predominance of félsios minerals (quartz, feldspars and muscovite).
